27-28 APRIL 2017, TAGUIG CITY – The Philippine Green Building Council this year’s Light Petroleum Gas Summit organized by AllEventsGroup held in SMX Convention Center, SM Aura. LPG Summit is a regional platform the brought together stakeholders from the government, LPG plants, LPG distribution companies, technology providers and investors to discuss policy directions on LPG.
The two-day summit consisted of talks and seminars that focused on the developments of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) on different sectors in the Philippines. The second day consisted of Focus Group discussions in the building sector, transportation sector and environmental sector.
In his welcome remark, Department of Energy (DOE) Assistant Secretary Gerardo D. Erguiza, Jr. shared that the department is implementing projects that promotes LPG products and is working on passing an LPG Bill.
DOE Director Melita V. Obillo discussed the upcoming developments for the LPG industry in the Philippines, highlighting the stable increase in the demand for LPG every year.
Among the topics discussed during the summit include: the global developments and trends in LPG; the use of LPG in public transportation in the Philippines, and tax reforms and other incentives to help the cooperatives and other transport fleets in the development of the modernization of public utility vehicles.
